August Already?!

Is it really the second full week of August!  Holy crap this year is just flying by.  We haven't done much since my last post.  We went camping last weekend for only the 3rd time this year and the 2nd time was only the previous weekend.  Since we have a travel trailer, camping only three times as of August doesn't make us too happy.  We had a busy summer for sure and we have loved and had fun with everything that kept us from camping.  But we have vowed that this won't happen next year.  We will just have to say no to some things.

I just started my third week of Boot Camp at the local YMCA and my body is so sore!  I am glad I am doing this class.  I don't know that I will do the next class, I may skip a session and just work on running and elipticals and then do the class again.  I have hit that point were the need and desire to lose weight and be more healthy is slowing running my life.  This is great and I think my husband first thought this was great but he is getting tired of salads, fish and chicken.  But until this weight is half gone that is what I am sticking to.

This week is hard, my birthday will be on Friday.  Yes Friday the 13th!!!  I am one of those LUCKY people who get this awesome birthday every few years.  I should be excited about my birthday but I am not.  Its caused to me to look back and reflect on my previous 28 years.  There are so many things I wish I could change.  I don't like the fact that I am 60 lbs overweight, I don't like the fact that we still have 2 credit cards with balances on them, I don't like that we still have a truck and camper payment, I hate the fact that we have almost no savings put back for things like emergencies, I don't like the fact that we haven't had a child yet.  But I have also remembered that we are working toward these things now rather than later.  Since we got married last year its been all about renewal of ourselves and our relationship.  Don't get me wrong I am so very grateful for all I have but its hard sometimes when you know you are smart enough to have been able to prevent these things.

I have asked for an Amazon Kindle for my birthday and I gave my husband permission to pre-order their newer, lighter, faster and cheaper version that comes out at the end of August.  This means that I have alot of books that I need to read before I get that and can use it.  I probably have 10-12 books around the house and camper that I haven't read and need/want to.  I'm sure my mom will get me another set of my china that I had registered for.  My MIL has an idea of what to get me but she asked to make sure I didn't have any other ideas, which I don't and this seems like the first time I can remember that she came up with one and I am sure will be awesome.

So HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY to me.  Hope you all have a great week.

Happy early birthday! I hope that you get the Kindle - I absolutely love mine :-)

Oh, and you have the same birthday as my older sister!
