Update on our Summer

Soooo once again, its been over a month since I last posted!  I wanted to keep you up to date on what we have been doing since my last post, so here goes:
  1. Had my mid year review at work and it was lame as usual but I still received great marks.
  2. Finished painting the trim in our kitchen and bought new curtains.  This also lead to us thinking we need to upgrade the counter top, back splash, sink, dishwasher and wall color in the kitchen.  I would also love to replace the cabinet doors in our kitchen but I think that is a pipe dream right now.
  3. Took a week long vacation to Gatlinburg, TN.  We ate out way too much but still had a ball.  Not to mention that on a hike we did at the end of the week, we ran into a family from our hometown!  Not joking and then to find out they grew up with some of my cousins.  Crazy small world!
  4. Went to the family reunion I was dreading and had a blast!  Reconnected with family that I didn't know very well or couldn't remember at all.  Its been about 12 years since I had been to this reunion.
  5. Went to the Brooks & Dunn "Last Rodeo" concert and it was awesome.  Gary Allen opened for him and for some reason the sound was terrible for him.  But when Brooks & Dunn got on stage it was awesome and Ronnie Dunn sounded great after being on 3 weeks of voice rest.
  6. My husbands family rents a lake house for 2 weeks every year and why we have never been until this year, I don't know.  I basically made the decision that we were going up there, even though my husband wasn't too keen on the idea.  But he learned to jet ski and water ski, now he won't stop talking about going next year.
  7. I have gained 5 pounds and I am just tired of being fat.  Its time that I buckle down and get this going!  Its time for Lean Cuisine and Salads again, along with the getting my P90X back out and going again.
Well I hope that you are all having a great summer too.  I am hoping to post next week about the joys of my husbands shift change at work! :)
